NHS East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group are looking to improve access to primary care services, including making appointments available at times that are convenient to patients through the GP Extended Access service.
To achieve this we are working with our local GPs and engaging with our patient population to develop a service that meets their needs. The extended access service has started with the nine GP practices in Welwyn and Hatfield launching in March 2018, with the remaining areas of east and north Hertfordshire due to be delivering the service by October 2018.
As part of the service design and development, we worked with GP practices to promote a questionnaire seeking the publics views on how they would like to see the service operate. These views have been broken down into the reports shared below and have been given careful consideration by each locality as they put together the service.
The questionnaires have now closed – please see the individual locality reports below for the results of each questionnaire.
